Every mark, a step.
Indexing brings order to ideas and value to time.
Indexing
Precision Cutting
Indexing is an elegant process that cuts the edge of pages and creates the characteristic step notches, which visually divide a book into sections that are easy to reach. It is an ancient gesture, now transformed into a highly accurate process thanks to the indexing machine, capable of operating with millimeter precision.
The volume is locked in position, the machine calculates the exact depth and distance of each incision, and with shaped blades, makes clean and regular cuts along the outer edge. Everything is done without damaging the paper or compromising the binding, ensuring a clean and stable finish.
Visual Organization
Alphabetical, numerical, or thematic indexes can be set via a digital interface, easily adapting to codes, directories, manuals, or technical publications. Every parameter is customizable, allowing for an immediate logical division perfectly consistent with the content structure.
The result is a volume that becomes an even more readable tool, more efficient, and closer to the needs of the user: a book that naturally guides the eye and accompanies reading with order and clarity.
Each service can be completed with setup and finishing, with both bulk PVC and single PVC processing.
Department Equipment
Our indexing department has 2 Durrer Rega 5 automatic indexing machines, designed to ensure continuity, precision, and regularity even on high volumes. Each machine operates with digital control and calibrated shaped blades, maintaining consistency in the depth and cleanliness of the incisions.
What are the advantages?
Indexing introduces an immediate logic to consultation, transforming the edge of the pages into a clear and stable visual guide. The incisions, calibrated to the millimeter, allow complex content to be organized into readable sections, maintaining order, graphic continuity, and a refined visual impact. Each process is customizable and integrates with technical volumes, directories, manuals, and special publications, making the book more functional and closer to the reader.
